The additions and renovations to the existing La Vega High School will include the addition of four science labs, two shared preparation rooms and multi-user restrooms. Also, an expansion and renovation to the cafeteria and kitchen will add additional square footage allowing the kitchen to serve 900 students. La Vega High School renovations will also include an expansion of the existing library to include a new space for computers and a more centrally located entrance. In addition, the front student pick-up/drop-off drive will be widened, and an additional visitor drive with parking will be added. The construction is scheduled to be complete in October 2011, allowing for full use of the renovated and additional space in January 2012.
